Barbie
In the 2023 fantasy-comedy film Barbie, Stereotypical Barbie experiences a sudden existential crisis. She and Ken leave the matriarchal utopia of Barbie Land for the real world to find the human playing with her, leading to a culture clash, a patriarchy takeover at home, and a journey of self-discovery.

    The costume department made almost all of the beach fight outfits. His top and shorts are custom made, appearing to be nylon. They are based on 80’s and 90’s athletic jersey shorts (still sold for colleges in this design). The elastic thread is stitched invisibly and only across the front and back, not around the hips.
