Description As stated in the Sex and The City book, this scene is key on so many levels. The looks of it, how Big and Carrie are dressed, shows off the contrast between them (still being intimate), in opposite of Miranda and Steve. Originally, Patricia Field, had Carrie wearing tee and leggings, later on changed. Carrie's need of glasses, is also a metaphor for her not being able to see what it is in front of her. When Big leaves her at the altar, she admits she hadn't seen that coming.
