• Description: A faux fur, peak-shouldered cape, made with red-shot-green silk velvet fabric decorated with a combination of freehand bronze metallic embroidered thread motifs and ruched yoke and hem panels. It is lined in an orange silk taffeta overlaid with gold metallic organza enhanced on collar and cuff facings with seed pearls and trapunto detail. The underdress, in an orange-shot-gold vintage silk taffeta was constructed using layers of sharply sunray pleated panels heavily decorated with antique beads. Undergarment is fit perfect to Natalie. Several layers of canvas maintain the bell shape of the overdress, but also support the weight of the wires and lights connected to the batteries necessary to light-up the dress. Lighting issues mandated a change to from the original design of velvet to silk.
